This is a soba. It's basically like a fireplace but you close the door and the heat stays in it for up to 8 or so hours. The downfall is it's a lot of work to keep it going- sometimes 2 hours. But boy is it nice to come home from school and have a toasty room! I actually said, out loud, "Oh NMG is wonderful" as I walked into my room today. While she'll never have the same definition of wonderful that MG in Razeni has, it's clear that she is trying... and she's starting to grow on me.
